Castleton YHA – Friday 9th – Sunday 11th September

KSK are thrilled to announce their first Gashaku as the new association. Following the success of the previous event, and the fantastic feedback received, we have rebooked CASTLETON YHA

We’ll have exclusive use of the YHA over the weekend, so Students, Family & Friends can train and relax together without having to leave the grounds, unless the draw of the surrounding area is just too much to resist!

CASTLETON YHA certainly doesn’t conform to the stereotype of a ‘Hostel’, just ask those who went last year! The YHA is a recently refurbished Victorian Gothic Mansion, set in 27 acres of parkland nestled within the Hope Valley between Castleton and Hope. Within the grounds there are gardens, woods and streams to explore. Not to mention the resident chickens & pigs to visit!

There are also lots of quiet spots, within both the Mansion and the grounds, boasting stunning views for those wanting to disappear to and relax.

What’s in store…..

After arrival on Friday evening, we will settle in and enjoy dinner together.

On Saturday, following a full English, continental breakfast, or both(!!), there’ll be 2 hours of Karate training on the lawn, in the Marquee, or a bit of both (English weather dependant).

After training, lunch will be ready for collection. You will then have over 4 hours of free time to go off and explore the grounds, or surrounding area. In the late afternoon we will regroup for another hours training, followed by our Saturday Night meal and chance to catch up on the day’s events over a drink.

On Sunday, because we know you want to, there’s chance to fit in one last training session before departing at lunchtime, armed with a packed lunch.

What’s included…..

The cost per person for the weekend will include 2 nights’ accommodation, dorm style, with modern key fob entry and private allocated bathroom facilities, and all meals, from dinner on Friday to your packed lunch on Sunday.

As part of our commitment to our students, given we’re a not for profit organisation, all training and training facilities will be fully subsidised by KSK.

Who’s invited….

This event is open to all members of KSK and their families. Whilst the weekend is built around providing our students with the opportunity to train for Free, we hope it will also double as a weekend away for their family members too.

Please note all under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.

How much……

The cost of the weekend is;

• £90 per under 16
• £110 per 16 & over
